Migration Terminologies II

We’re back again, and with part two of the terminologies surrounding migration. In order to consistently create conversation, we at Balik sa Bayan ensure that we share with you the terms you need to know!

Let’s travel and take a ride together to understand these terminologies given, the Country of Origin, Transit and Destination. As migrants leave their country of origin, or the country they are originally from, they usually have some stopovers along the way, the country where this transition happens is called the country of transit. As they pass through these countries, they depart and finally get to the country of destination, the place migrants recognize as their arrival nation.
